The West Coast Players, are a Versatile Powerhouse Duet, & along with their regular back up musicians, they have a powerful potent mix of Dance music. The band features the Bilingual talents of vocalist Veronica C  & the Prolific musical genius of Raul Duarte. Both Vero & Duarte bring a diversified, spicy, aural mix, dripping  with taste from the multi-cultural environments they grew up in. From Funk, Soul, Jazz, Mariachi, Country & Salsa, they have veritable Cornucopia of music for anyone to enjoy. With music playing a crucial part in most peoples’ lives, the  music industry has evolved towards more segregated genres. Because of this, it has become increasingly easy to fall into categories. Bands nowadays, play one style & never really develop beyond that. With The West Coast Players being stalwart studio  musicians, & having chosen to go beyond the " Garage Band " Mentality, they have enjoyed a wider appeal. By bringing musicianship to the fore, they enjoy the ability to bring music at a level that was once the exclusive domain of today’s top artists.  Artists like: Madonna, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, N’ Sync &  Britney Spears incorporate all of the new technological advances available. Coupled with Live musicians, & Studio technology, you have the best of both worlds. To realize the full scope of the sounds available to the world, All of the aforementioned use computers, sequencers, lighting, & immense sound systems to enhance their craft. In the end it’s the audience and the music lovers that reap the benefits from this huge undertaking. Some people may think that by using technology, it is a form of “cheating”, but the fact of the matter is, that the  electronics or technology cannot deliver anything by itself. It must be played, manipulated & controlled by highly qualified artists who have the expertise to use it. Therefore, machines cannot make music, it's  the musicians playing the "tools of the trade" that make the music. The West Coast Players are very fortunate in that they have their own “musical electronic genius”, in Mr. Raul Duarte. Duarte (who plays all the instruments in a modern day band as well as a handful of traditional instruments) has a lexicon of expertise in the studio as well as live performances. Needless to say, it conjures up a powerful, potent mix with the great experienced, versatile talents of Veronica &  Raul.. The West Coast Players pride themselves in being able to deliver virtually any genre of music in modern day society not to mention numerous all original compositions. We are a primarily a Duet with Back up musicians available, depending on our clients needs. We play a versatile mix of dance music that uses all the latest technology. With over 20 years of experience, we have played many festivals, concerts, weddings, clubs, as well as recorded with many labels and independent artists. We offer Old School, Latin, Salsa, Reggae, and a little bit of Country music. We are based out of the Central California area, but we have toured many of the states as well as other countries.
